Valcore integrates across the energy sector’s value chain

Importation and Marketing of Petroleum Products

Over the years, we have expanded our business portfolio into crude oil, refined oil products, LPG, dry bulk commodities and mining. Similarly, our reach has grown, and we serve customers from offices in Lagos, Abuja & Port Harcourt. To support our main activity – trading – we have secured bulk storage facilities in the West African region and acquired a petroleum tank farm and terminal in Nigeria. In addition, we have secured exploration mining licenses in Southwest Nigeria, where we have commenced exploration for Lithium, Gold and Beryllium.

VALCORE has broadened its operational scope to mineral exploration, and this vision has led to the acquisition of five (5) prospective large-scale licenses totalling 169 km2 in the North Central and Southwest Regions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is in addition to its Lead Zinc exploration license located in Nasarawa.

In October 2023, VALCORE commissioned a reconnaissance program on the licenses. The objective was to examine and evaluate if there is an economic mineral potential on any of the licenses. The reconnaissance program resulted in the collection of One hundred and one (101) samples, thus, seventy-three (73) rock chip samples (including three duplicates and one blank) and twenty-eight (28) stream sediment samples (including one copy) on the five (5) licenses.

These samples have been tested to show excellent prospects for Lithium and other pathway minerals.

Valcore is currently exploring a partnership with exploratory license holders to invest in their preliminary experimental work with a focus on community development and creating a sustainable mining environment for the inhabitants of the communities.
